Guatemalan cellist and composer Mabe Fratti's release Se Ve Desde Aquí is another step in a remarkable race of releases. This is perhaps his most revealing album to date; presenting a sinuous and tense sound associated with a confident and lucid worldview. Mabe Fratti is always looking for new ways to express herself and reflect on her environment; she sees it as a process of continuous “sound transformation”. Se Ve Desde Aquí marks a decisive turning point in relation to Fratti's more recent works, which have a more enigmatic tone.
